I urge you to support efforts to convert, should it become available, the Camas Railroad from Reubens to Culdesac as a public access trail on the model of the Hiawatha and Trail of the Couer d'Alenes in northern Idaho. This line had a starring role in the 1975 Charles Bronson movie, Breakheart Pass.Now we should consider giving it a starring role under its own name here in North Central Idaho. Its soaring trestles and many tunnels make it a dramatic attraction easily accessible from Highway 95 on the North South route. Preserving this route as a public access trail will honor Idaho's railroad history and have a postive economic impact on surrounding communities from Lewiston to Grangeville. Please help us preserve this trail as a precious public resource.
