Twin River Cyclists and the League of American Cyclists promote
the use of the bicycle for transportation. May is National Bike
Month.
2008s Bike to Work day is over, but that doesn't mean you
should hang up your bike. The weather's just getting good. Help
us out next year by signing up for our bicycle
commuter registry. We'd like to know who commutes where
so that we can have commuters ready to be bike buddies and liasons
to local employers next for next spring's events.
Ride, Safely, wear a helmet, know the rules of the road. We'll
help get you started with these two Parks and Rec classes.

comfort and functionality while you ride? Come join
our knowledgeable instructors for a fun and informative
session on do-it-yourself bicycle maintenance. You

Ice
Cream: Every Tuesday starting May 13., 6:30 pm Clarkston's
Baskin Robins Parking Lot. Usually we ride the bike
path to Asotin and back. Some ride to the end of the pavement
on Asotin Creek.
Southway
Boat launch rides chosen by those who show up--Usually
2 to 3 hours. Rides continue until the weather is too hot
then resume again in the Fall. Good place to meet others,
choose your own route.
Sage
Bakery: 10 am Southway
Boat launch. Saturday, May 17th. Ride to Uniontown up
the Spiral Highway, have lunch at Sage Bakery, and return.
38-40 miles.
Sounds like a lot, but we're counting on
lots of you joining us. We'll count all your May cycling toward
our 10,000 mile goal to celebrate National Bicycle Month.
And you are all invited to club barbecue in June to congratulate
each other on all our miles.
A road bike is not necessarily your best bet
for commuting. You don't need a $2,000 bike to get to work
or to school. In fact a "beater" bike might be better.
